Cloud Delivery

Responsibilities:

Cloud Platform Operations:

• Assist the Operations Manager in ensuring smooth operations of Singtel Managed Cloud platforms by adhering to established tasks, processes, and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Optimize cloud platform performance to ensure cost-effective and sustained availability for corporate customers.
• Incorporate continuous improvement processes through constant monitoring, reporting, evaluation, and enhancement of operation metrics.
• Ensure adherence to operational standards, processes, and guidelines in line with industry best practices.

Team Collaboration and Vendor Management:

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule, within budget, and meeting customer requirements.
• Assist the Operations Manager in managing vendor relationships and ensuring deliverables meet agreed-upon service levels.
• Support in managing operational challenges, including incident, problem, and change management, and providing resolutions to escalated issues.

Shift and Availability:

• Participate in a 24x7 shift rotation days), ensuring continuous operational support across various time zones and shifts.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

• Prepare and present Service Delivery Status reports, highlighting key metrics, issues, and solutions.
• Ensure the alignment of operational practices with Singtel Managed Cloud's strategic objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to align cloud operations with evolving industry standards and best practices.

Minimum Qualification:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Experience and Skill Requirements:

Technical Skills:

Cloud Platforms:

• Basic understanding of Public Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other commercial Cloud solutions.
• Basic knowledge of Private Cloud platforms such as vCloud Director, VMware, vROPS, and Edge Gateway.

Virtualization and Server Technologies:

• Familiarity with VMware virtualization technologies and managing environments with Windows, RedHat, CentOS, or SUSE operating systems.
• Experience with system management tools such as Active Directory (AD), DNS, etc.
• Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.

Storage, Backup, and Network Management:

• Knowledge of Storage Arrays (HP, 3PAR, NetApp, Dell) and SAN switches (Brocade, MDS).
• Familiarity with backup technologies such as EMC Avamar, Commvault, Veeam, etc.
• Basic understanding of network management, including Cisco, Juniper, and F5 technologies, and basic information security practices.

Operational Support & ITSM Tools:

• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, FreshService) and monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Zebbix, WhatsUp Gold, Paessler PRTG).

Emerging Technologies:

• Basic knowledge of quantum virtualization concepts and its potential impact on cloud services and infrastructure.
• Exposure to edge computing and its impact on low-latency applications, especially in IoT and real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and their integration into IT operations for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and automation.
• Awareness of Serverless computing, 5G, blockchain, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments and how they can optimize cloud operations and infrastructure management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong customer engagement skills with the ability to handle customer queries, concerns, and challenges.
• Effective team collaboration with the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and initiative. o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Experience with vendor management and working with external partners to ensure service delivery standards are met.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and guide cross-functional teams in the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

• ITIL Foundation and Intermediate certifications.
• Certifications related to Public Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Kubernetes, Docker, or other cloud-native technology certifications.
• VMware, Cisco, or other relevant certifications.

Additional Information:

• Must be able to work 24x7 (12 hour) shifts, including day or night rotations days).
• Flexibility to adapt to operational requirements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of industry best practices for IT service management, cloud platforms, and service delivery.
• Mobile Device Policy: Personal mobile phones are not permitted in specific work areas for security and focus. Dedicated lockers will be provided for storage during those times.
• Work Location: This role is on-site at our facilities. We currently do not offer hybrid or work-from-home arrangements for this position.
• Probationary Period: New hires undergo a three-month probationary period during which your performance will be evaluated.

Work Schedule:
Rotational Shift: 12-hour shifts alternating between day shift and night shift each starting at 7am and 7pm o 2 days of day shift (7am-7pm) o 2 days off o 2 days of night shift (7pm-7am) o 2 days off

Additional Responsibilities:
You may be required to be on standby for overtime depending on operational needs.
