Boilerman

The Boilerman is responsible for operating and maintaining the steam boiler system. The role includes ensuring safe daily boiler operations, water treatment management and supporting boiler annual overhaul and statutory inspections. The Boilerman ensures safe, reliable and efficient utilities supply for biodiesel production processes.

Description :

• Operate and monitor steam boilers to ensure boiler operation is in full compliance
• Maintain stable boiler parameters such steam pressure, temperature, fuel/air ratio, water level and feedwater flow
• Ensure feedwater and boiler water chemistry meet standards to prevent corrosion, scaling and carryover
• Conduct routine water analysis such as pH, conductivity, hardness and alkalinity
• Prepare the boiler for Annual DOSH Internal Inspection
• Perform preventive maintenance on boiler auxiliaries such as feedwater pumps, fuel pumps, valves, blowdown systems, burners, control panel instrumentation
• Identify and troubleshoot boiler issues such as water level faults, combustion inefficiency, high TDS, scaling, or burner malfunction

Requirement on Qualifications & Experience :

• Boilerman Grade 1
• Minimum 3 years experience operating industrial boilers (experience in biodiesel, oleochemical, chemical or palm oil refinery plants is an advantage)
• Solid knowledge of steam systems, condensate recovery, feedwater systems and boiler instrumentation
• Ability to work shifts, work long hours and respond to emergencies or breakdowns when required
• Able to travel and support at any of our outstation plant when required
