Sr. System Product Manager

Supermicro is seeking a Senior System Product Manager to lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for system products at our Malaysia facility. This role ensures smooth transitions from design to production through effective SOP development, pilot build readiness, and successful First Article Inspection (FAI). Close collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to meet product roadmap and quality expectations.

1. Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for the Malaysia factory, ensuring seamless transitions from design to production.
2. Oversee and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), prepare for production pilot runs, and ensure the successful completion of First Article Inspection (FAI).
3. Provide expert assistance to production teams in resolving complex system-level technical issues, ensuring efficient problem-solving.
4. Direct and meticulously review Failure Analysis (FA) processes for any production quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Drive and support server business development initiatives across the South Asia region, identifying growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.
6. Contribute to the strategic direction of the product lifecycle, aligning product roadmaps with business objectives and market demands.
7. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the product management team.
8. Possess experience with Server Motherboard (MB)/system project development processes and familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux will be advantage for the candidates.

1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields is preferable, and candidates with equivalent relevant qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
2. Familiarity and hands-on experience with server hardware is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.
3. Prior experience in the manufacturing of servers, personal computers (PC), or semiconductor equipment is beneficial and may provide an advantage, but applicants with related industry exposure are also welcome.
4. Good English communication skills, both written and conversational, are required for this role. Chinese language capability is considered nice-to-have and could provide added value to the candidate, though it is not a strict requirement for this Managerial role.
5. A senior-level background, typically around 8 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership, is generally sought. However, candidates with less than 8 years who can show strong alignment with the required skill sets and proven leadership capabilities will also be given full consideration.
6. Strong knowledge of server hardware and architectures—such as PCI Express (PCIe) and Out-of-Band (OOB) management—is preferred and will be viewed as an added advantage.
