ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for leading the audit team of auditors and providing guidance to them for completing the auditing jobs according to the program requirement.
- Conducts social audits professionally and in compliance with the guidelines following client's standard operating procedure.
- Conducts social audits based on various standards and code of conduct of various client, on behalf of whom we conduct the assessment and ensures compliance with corporate requirements.
- Performs the audit opening & closing meeting as per client requirements.
- Creates formal audit reports and delivers audit reports timely and accurately.
- Ensures file management and traceability of audit reports following the 5S of good housekeeping program of the company.
- Train/help new auditors to achieve their required level.
- Develop/modifies audit checklists as regulatory requirements change or as supplied by clients or following standards cited.
- Identifies areas of opportunity and supports continual improvement of Audit Department as may be required by Audit Manager.
- Performs other duties related to audit as may be required by immediate supervisor.
- Reports to Audit/Inspection Manager for any critical findings that may adversely affect client's business and standing in the industry.
- Performs other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Audit/Inspection Manager from time to time.
- Flexibility to travel extensively and work independently.
Prepares the audit plan, conducts meetings, and submits the formal audit report to superior or as defined in the existing procedure of the Company.
Prepare, plan and oversee an audit to ensure overall quality of an audit meeting standard.
- Allocate roles and tasks among team members according to skills and strength during an audit.
- Lead and provide guidance to the audit team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / SPECIFICATIONS
Candidates shall achieve academic achievement to at least University Level Degree in a related discipline or equivalent level. In certain circumstances knowledge and experience acquired in other ways can meet this requirement.
Working experience & Aptitude Required
- At least 4 years of working experience in industries such as manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, human resources, or EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety). Preferably if have experience on auditing Quality Management Systems, Social audit, Health, Safety, Environment Management System and/or relevant experience.
- Prefer candidate can demonstrate competence in providing guidance and training to auditors.
- Prefer candidate possess all the requirements as required by Auditors in employment law, harassment, discrimination, child labor, freedom of association, collective bargaining agreement, forced labor, health and safety, environment, and other relevant.
- Prefer candidates have undergone formal and recognized training e.g. ISO auditor training, SA8000, IRCA, EICC, ICTI, FLA, and client specific etc.
- Strictly adheres to corporate code of ethics and morally upright.
- Knowledgeable on existing labor laws and international standards.
- Ability to control and manage time effectively during an audit.
- Strong leadership and management qualities are required in addition to the required expertise to perform assignments.
- Ability to make solid decisions and carry out independent technical judgment in a consistent manner to complete procedural and documentation issues of the job.
TRAINING/SKILLS NEEDED
- Auditors shall undergo and pass the Compliance Practitioner Initiative Training (Generic Auditor Training and subject specific module).
- ASCA or CSCA level is an added advantage.
- Receive ISO auditor training, SA8000, IRCA, EICC, ICTI, FLA, and client specific etc.
- Interpersonal skills (open-minded, respectful and courteous).
- Leadership and management (organizational, teamwork).
- Professionalism (observant, accurate, detail oriented).
- Language - fluent in verbally, written and reading in English and local languages.
- Ability to effectively communicate and listen with respect in various cultures, environmental, individually or group.
- Observance and vigilance and ability to identify fraudulent activities and practices.
