About the role

DCConnect Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and efficient network infrastructure to support the company's operations and growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
  • Implement and manage secure and scalable network architectures to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
  • Monitor and analyse network traffic to identify and resolve issues, optimise network performance, and implement proactive measures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address network-related requirements and challenges
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior network engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the network infrastructure

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and best practices, including TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices from major vendors, such as Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex network issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring junior network engineers
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNP or JNCIA, are highly desirable
  • Fluent in Mandarin to communicate with China-based stakeholders
