Job Description : Teacher of English

Crescendo-HELP International School (CHIS) is seeking an inspiring and passionate Teacher of English to join our thriving English faculty. The department follows the Cambridge curriculum at Key Stage 3 and offers English Literature, First Language English, Second Language English, and EAL at IGCSE, as well as English Literature at A Level, where the subject remains both popular and highly successful.

This is an exciting opportunity for an imaginative teacher who loves literature and the written word, and who can ignite that same enthusiasm in students. The successful candidate will bring a rich appreciation of diverse texts, cultures, and voices—helping students to read deeply, think critically, and write with clarity and flair. Across all courses, they will promote high standards of language and communication while nurturing creativity and confidence—reflecting our whole-school vision of the Joy of Learning.

Essential
  • Degree and university-based teaching qualification with a national/state teaching licence
  • Significant experience in teaching English
  • Strong understanding of the UK and Cambridge curricula
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable
  • Master's in Education, Educational Leadership or equivalent
  • Experience with other international curricula (e.g. IB, ICA, US)
  • Experience working internationally
