Job Title: Chief Mechanic / Head Mechanic

Location: Alor Gajah, Melaka

Salary: RM2,500 – RM5,500 (based on experience & performance)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly committed and experienced Chief Mechanic to lead our workshop operations.

This position is ONLY for individuals who are serious about work, disciplined, and looking for long-term career growth, including exposure to workshop management and business operations.

Candidates who are not committed, frequently change jobs, or work half-heartedly are strongly discouraged from applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all mechanical operations in the workshop
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues accurately and efficiently
  • Handle petrol & diesel engines, wiring, electrical, and diagnostics
  • Act as the main technical reference for complex cases
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor job progress
  • Ensure quality control, safety standards, and SOP compliance
  • Train, guide, and discipline junior mechanics
  • Assist in daily workshop operations and management matters

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic
  • Strong knowledge in petrol & diesel engines
  • Skilled in wiring, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure and solve problems independently
  • Highly disciplined, responsible, and honest
  • Punctual and consistent attendance
  • Valid driving license
