Yard Operator

We are seeking a safety-conscious and skilled Yard Operator to join our Operations team.

At DP World, we are dedicated to making the world's trade flow better. As a Yard Operator, you will play a crucial role in our logistics chain by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cargo.

You will operate heavy machinery to stack and move containers, ensuring smooth cargo flow while strictly adhering to safety and maintenance standards.

Key Accountabilities

• Safely operate the Reach Stacker (RS), Container Forklift (CFL), and other assigned machinery to handle and stack containers efficiently.
• Perform thorough pre-machine checklists before every shift to ensure all equipment is ready for operation and fully compliant with safety regulations.
• Receive, stack, and deliver containers to designated locations and trucks, ensuring accurate reporting of all container movements to the control clerk.
• Act promptly to report any equipment breakdowns, accidents, or damaged containers to the Container Park Manager to maintain operational continuity.
• Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and assist in preventive maintenance, actively supporting 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) activities and ISO compliance tasks.
• Perform other operational duties as required to support the team's success.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Minimum Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification.
• Proven knowledge and experience in operating Reach Stackers (RS) and Container Forklifts (CFL).
• Must possess a valid Driving License Class H (Heavy Machinery).
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
• A strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
