As HSE Executive, the primary role is to oversee daily HSE operations, including siteinspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations. This position supports plant operationsand ensures compliance with HSE policies through hands-on monitoring and enforcement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHA, EQA, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Lead safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and HSE awareness programs to foster a strong safety culture among plant personnel.
- Manage environmental documentation and ensure timely submission of reports to authorities such as DOE and DOSH.
- Oversee scheduled waste management, ensuring proper labeling, storage, handling, and disposal in accordance with legal requirements.
- Administer and update E-SWIS (Electronic Scheduled Waste Information System) for scheduled waste tracking, inventory control, and reporting to DOE.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Support emergency response planning, fire drills, and safety training initiatives.
- Liaise with government agencies, auditors, and external contractors to ensure compliance and effective HSE practices.
- Maintain and update HSE records, licenses, and permits for the plant.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HSE, preferably in manufacturing, waste management, or related industries.
- Familiar with E-SWIS system and DOE reporting procedures.
- Certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) registration with DOSH is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of EQA 1974, OSHA 1994, and other relevant regulations.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3, RM4,000.00 per month
