Job Summary:

Responsible for managing and supervises warehouse personnel and assists with the operation of the warehouses (e.g., receives, maintains inventory, plan and coordinates deliveries, organizes orders).

Duties & Accountability:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage and shipment of goods, to ensure efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • To ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operation. To direct, supervise and assign warehouse employees (e.g., trains, prepares work schedules, makes work assignments).
  • To assist with supervision, motivation and training of the warehouse employees.
  • Responsible for accuracy of the warehouse inventory of finished goods and consumable items (insulation materials, warehouse consumable items etc.). Assists with inventory control and resolves inventory discrepancies.
  • To promote good housekeeping, healthy and clean working environment.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of the warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
  • Assists with preparation and verification of reports, schedules, invoices, forms and other required warehouse documentation.
  • To establish and ensuring that all IMS procedures are effective in the warehouses. Any food safety problems are reported to the Plant Manager for immediate action and to ensure that all communication on food safety is effective and acted upon.
  • Responsible to co-ordinate Pest Control activities to the entire company premises.
  • Responsible to adhere and implement ISPM # 15 & AFAS regulations for Wood Packaging Materials for export.
  • Analyze warehouse operations and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to increase productivity.

Authority:

  • Approve Annual Leave/OT, Purchase Requisition and other SAP transaction.
  • Endorse ISO documents.
  • Verify Invoices.
  • Authorize to do and/or verified inventory adjustments, with justification, in the Company's ERP Systems for all inventoried items in Warehouse.
  • Communicate with Local Plant Quarantine Department for ISPM#15 & AFAS Regulations.

Competency Required:

  • Diploma/Degree in any discipline, preferably in Warehousing and Logistics Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, in English, Malay and other languages.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
