Key Responsibilities:
Design and Product Development:
- Innovate trendy baby products for local and international markets.
- Develop fresh designs for seasonal baby wear on a monthly basis.
- Assist with styling for baby modeling shoots and contests.
Merchandising and Supplier Coordination:
- Oversee sub-contractors and approve design visuals.
- Manage supplier relationships, handling sample raising, production bookings, and delivery schedules.
- Assist with product sampling, fitting measurements, and specifications.
Project Management:
- Schedule work efficiently to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Analyze sales reports and participate in annual merchandise planning.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and company events.
Cost Control and Collaboration:
- Manage costs to align retail prices with planned targets.
- Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and the sales team to ensure successful execution of plans.
- Adapt to additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Textile, Fashion, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years in a Designer or Merchandiser role, showcasing strong skills in both areas.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Chinese for effective communication with China suppliers.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office applications.
