About the role
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Operator to join our team at Mywisehome Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturing company located in Kamunting, Perak. As a Sewing Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development.
What you'll be doing
1. Production Document Management
· Record and Archiving: Responsible for organizing, archiving, and updating production-related documents (such as production plans, process instructions, Standard Operating Procedures/SOPs, etc.), ensuring document version accuracy.
· Report Generation: Compile daily/weekly/monthly production data (e.g., output, man-hours, material consumption) to generate production reports and submit them to management.
· Document Processing: Handle production process documents (e.g., material requisition forms, goods received notes, scrap reports), ensuring data accuracy.
2. Data Statistics and Analysis
· Data Entry: Input production line data (e.g., output, efficiency, defect rate) into systems (such as ERP, MES), ensuring timely information updates.
· Basic Analysis: Assist in analysing production data variances (e.g., planned vs. actual output), providing foundational support for efficiency improvements.
3. Production Coordination and Communication
· Inter-department Liaison: Act as the point of contact between the Production Department and other departments (e.g., Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality Department), conveying information (such as material shortage feedback, quality anomalies).
· Meeting Support: Schedule production meetings, record meeting minutes, and track the implementation of action items.
4. Production Planning Support
· Planning Assistance: Assist in preparing materials or notifying relevant personnel based on the production schedule to ensure timely plan dissemination.
· Progress Tracking: Monitor production progress and promptly report delays or abnormalities.
5. Material and Inventory Support
· Material Tracking: Assist in verifying production material inventory levels and submit purchase requisitions.
· Stocktake Support: Participate in monthly physical inventory counts and reconcile system data with actual stock.
6. 5S and Safety Management
· Document 5S: Maintain tidiness and orderliness of documents, notice boards, etc., in the production office.
· Safety Records: Assist in organizing safety training records, equipment checklists, etc.
7. Other Administrative Duties
· Attendance Tracking: Consolidate attendance and overtime data for production staff.
· Office Supplies Management: Procure and distribute office supplies or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the production department.
· Translation and Communication: Responsible for facilitating translation communication between Chinese and Malaysian colleagues.
What we're looking for
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certification in office administration or related fields is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a production environment or administrative role.
- Prior experience working with production schedules or inventory management is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience using production scheduling software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of production schedules and inventory.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes is a plus.
