Automation Tester (Banking)

Tenure: 1-Year Contract (Renewable)

Salary: open for negotiation

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for banking applications across web, API, and backend systems
  • Execute automation testing for functional, regression, integration, and system testing
  • ·Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and manual testers to understand requirements and define test scenarios
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with banking regulations, compliance, and security standards
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution
  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to improve test efficiency and reliability
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration to support continuous testing
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, reports, and defect logs
  • Support UAT cycles and production release validation when required

Requirements

  • Experience in Automation Testing within the banking or financial services domain
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar
  • Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI)
  • Understanding of SDLC & STLC in a regulated banking environment
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.)
  • Good understanding of databases and SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM12, RM15,000.00 per month
