Gardener

Job Summary:

The Gardener is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas of the Resort. This role involves planting, watering, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and general care of plants, trees, and turf to ensure a healthy and visually appealing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain gardens, lawns, trees, and landscaped areas according to seasonal requirements.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as per landscape design or supervisor instructions.
• Water plants and lawns using hoses, sprinklers, or irrigation systems.
• Mow lawns, trim hedges, prune shrubs, and remove weeds.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides safely and in accordance with regulations.
• Monitor plant health and identify signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers).
• Collect and dispose of garden waste, fallen leaves, and debris.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of outdoor areas, walkways, and planters.
• Assist in landscape projects, seasonal decorations, or event setup when required.
• Assist in any other assignment or project as and when required by the Management

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a gardener, landscaper, or groundskeeper.
• Knowledge of plants, horticultural techniques, and seasonal maintenance.
• Familiarity with gardening tools and powered equipment.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of fertilizers and chemicals.
• Attention to detail and a sense of aesthetics in landscape design.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certificate or training or working experience in horticulture, landscaping, or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM2,300.00 per month
