Job Description: Logistics (Preparing / Loading) & Warehouse Storekeeper

available hire : 2 - 3 workers

Section A: Preparing & Loading (Logistics)

1. Shipment Preparation

  • Check goods based on the Loading List to ensure packing is completed.
  • Ensure packaging meets OS (Operations Standards) requirements (e.g., plastic pallets, wooden pallets, wooden blocks, U-channels, or loose packing).
  • Highlight to the Production Leader via WhatsApp group any items not received from Production (at least 2 days before shipment).
  • Prepare and place goods on the appropriate packaging (stacking if required).

  • Count and label goods clearly with:

  • OS number

  • Item number
  • Quantity
  • Ensure physical quantity matches the Loading List.
  • Stay alert to shipment schedules and be prepared in advance.
  • Arrange goods in the Logistics area according to loading sequence and lorry allocation.
  • Load goods safely into lorries, ensuring all items are secure and in good condition.


Section C: Warehouse Storekeeper Responsibilities

1. Goods Receiving

  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and condition against delivery documents (DO, Invoice, etc.).
  • Record received items accurately in the inventory system or logbook.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.

2. Stock Management

  • Store items in the correct location according to item type and storage requirements (e.g., temperature, safety).
  • Label all items clearly for easy identification.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in stock-take exercises.
  • Maintain stock accuracy and update inventory records.

3. Inventory Control

  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Alert supervisor when stock is low or overstocked.
  • Ensure first-in-first-out (FIFO) or first-expiry-first-out (FEFO) methods are followed where applicable.

4. Housekeeping & Safety

  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times.
  • Ensure goods are stored safely and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift) safely and with proper authorization.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Update inventory logs (manual or digital).
  • Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing stock.
  • File and archive documents such as delivery orders, invoices, and stock cards.

6. Support Logistics & Other Departments

  • Assist in the loading/unloading of goods as required.
  • Work closely with logistics team during shipment preparations.
  • Support ad hoc tasks from supervisors and cooperate with cross-functional teams.
Section D: Welding Responsibilities
  1. Perform welding tasks in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and approved procedures.
  2. Ensure proper preparation of materials, including cleaning, measuring, and positioning workpieces before welding.
  3. Select appropriate welding techniques and equipment based on material type and job requirements.
  4. Inspect and verify weld quality, identifying defects and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  5. Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE, proper ventilation, and adherence to company safety standards.
  6. Maintain welding equipment, ensuring tools are clean, calibrated, and in safe working condition.
  7. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
  8. Document welding activities, including completed welds, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  9. Comply with industry codes and standards, such as AWS, ASME, or company-specific requirements.
  10. Report hazards or equipment failures immediately to the appropriate personnel.
