Our client is a Global MNC and an established player in the industry that they operate in. Currently, they are looking for a strong RTR professional with proven leadership track record to join their finance shared services to lead their RTR team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the full spectrum of RTR which include general ledger updates, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, balance sheet matching, and closing the books on time for different business units or countries.
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annually financial reporting are accurate and delivered timely, following accounting and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of all related companies and business units' transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with all stakeholders to produce useful financial insights and assist in cost management.
  • Review and enhance existing internal controls to ensure robust internal controls are always in place.
  • Drive and implement process/continuous improvement initiatives for more accurate, faster, clearer, and compliant reporting, which may include but not limited to system migration, intergration and enhancement.
  • Manage, train and grow RTR members to ensure they consistently perform as a team.
  • Key liaison officer during audit season.
  • Participate in any ad-hoc tasks required by Management as and when needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Degree in Accounting/Finance. Highly advantageous to have a professional qualification e.g. ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA.
  • Possess at least 10 years of relevant RTR experience including 3 years of direct leadership experience. Highly advantageous to have a background in external audit with a Big 4 firm prior to any shared services experience.
  • Possess strong communication and articulation skills for effective and efficient stakeholder engagement.
  • Multilingual and highly proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin for optimal communication with various stakeholders.
