Data Engineer (Informatica, Hadoop, Oracle)

Tenure: 1-Year Contract (Renewable)

Industry: Banking / Financial Services

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the end-to-end software delivery in the data analytics domain. This includes requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, implementation & production support in Finance & Risk Analytics

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to solution design documents; Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand
  • Perform detailed estimation of projects and change requests
  • Review test strategy and functional test cases created by testing team
  • Monitor and manage risks / issues related to requirements and scope creep

Functional Skillsets

  • Data Lake(Hadoop), EDW(Teradata), Data Mart, Data Integration & Visualisation
  • Hands-on experience in implementing large scale data warehouse & analytics platforms in financial services industry with good functional knowledge of products & services offered in Retail bank / Wholesale / Global Markets covering some of the following analytics domains:
  • Experience in Data profiling, Data modeling (FSLDM, Dimensional), Data mapping, Data governance & security, Data visualization & Reporting
  • Finance Analytics - Financial Reconciliation, Allocation, Performance Management & Regulatory Reporting
  • Credit Risk Analytics – Credit Risk Exposure, NPL, Counterparty Risk, Input variables for Basel & IFRS9

Technical skillsets

At least, 2 technical certifications in any of the below technologies:

  • Informatica Data Integration – PC, IDR, BDM, MM, IDQ
  • Oracle/ Teradata – Bteq, GCFR, MDM
  • AS 400
  • Cloudera Hadoop distribution – Hive, Impala, Spark
  • Data modelling tools (Erwin)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM10, RM15,000.00 per month
