Responsibilities :-

  • Repair and maintain dies and tooling used in extrusion production.
  • Coordinate with die maker/supplier to ensure die design and quality meet product specifications and production targets.
  • Prepare dies and tooling based on extrusion production schedule and sales orders from the Planning Department.
  • Monitor die performance and maintain accurate die usage records (e.g., number of shots, recovery, linear weight) in Die Cards.
  • Conduct die washing and die nitriding operations as needed and keep proper records of each nitriding cycle.
  • Update die and tooling inventory on a monthly basis.
  • Analyse operating supplies usage and prepare monthly report to reduce losses/consumption.
  • Provide continuous recommendations and corrective actions to improve die and tooling performance.
  • Attend weekly and monthly operations meetings.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of assigned areas.
  • Assist manager in preparing the annual CAPEX (capital expenditure) budget.
  • Ensure sufficient operational supplies for production.
  • Delegate tasks, manage workers' overtime, monitor team performance and productivity.
  • Maintain worker discipline and provide job briefings and training.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, operational SOPs and safety requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workplace.
  • Control, guide, and motivate the team to meet quality and quantity targets.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

What are we looking for:-

  1. Possess at least 5 years of experience in aluminium extrusion operation and dies and tooling maintenance.
  2. Leadership skills, organizational and planning abilities, problem solving skills are essential.
  3. Physically fit and willing to work in a factory environment, including on-site inspections and hands-on support.
  4. Strong knowledge of die design, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including die washing and nitriding processes.
  5. Good understanding of workplace safety, legal compliance, and operational SOPs in a manufacturing setting.
