About Alpro Dental Clinic
Alpro Dental Clinic is part of the Alpro healthcare ecosystem, dedicated to providing comprehensive, affordable, and compassionate dental care for individuals and families. We emphasize hospitality, empathy, and professionalism in every interaction. Integrating with Alpro Clinic, Alpro Pharmacy, and allied health services, our goal is to deliver a holistic oral–systemic health experience that enhances overall well-being through prevention, education, and patient empowerment.
Role Overview
As a Family Dentist at Alpro Dental Clinic, you will deliver comprehensive and preventive oral healthcare to patients of all ages, integrating clinical excellence with empathy and patient education. Your role extends beyond treatment — to fostering long-term trust, promoting preventive oral health, and supporting the broader mission of community-based, multidisciplinary healthcare within the Alpro Group.
Key Responsibilities / Clinical Duties
- Conduct thorough dental examinations and diagnose oral diseases, conditions, or pathologies.
- Provide restorative, preventive, and emergency dental treatments (fillings, scaling & polishing, extractions, etc.).
- Develop personalized oral health plans and educate patients on preventive care, hygiene practices, and nutrition.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, root canal treatments, and other interventions within scope of general dentistry.
- Interpret radiographs and other diagnostic tests to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the clinic's dental EMR system.
Patient-Centered Care
- Build long-term dentist–patient relationships emphasizing comfort, trust, and education.
- Communicate treatment options and costs clearly to ensure informed decision-making.
- Deliver empathetic and gentle care, aligning with Alpro's principles of hospitality and attentiveness.
- Educate patients and families on oral-systemic links in clinic and via community outreach — connecting oral health to chronic disease prevention and overall wellness.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with family doctors, pharmacists, and allied health teams to ensure integrated patient care.
- Collaborate with the telehealth and home care divisions for digital oral consultations and post-treatment follow-up.
- Refer patients appropriately to dental specialists or medical counterparts when advanced or systemic care is needed.
- Contribute to community dental health programs under Alpro's outreach and preventive care initiatives.
Operational & Quality Improvement
- Adhere to all KKM and MDC standards, infection control protocols, and clinical governance policies.
- Participate in continuing dental education (CDE), case reviews, and professional development programs.
- Support the clinic's objectives in patient satisfaction, clinical quality, and operational efficiency.
- Provide feedback to improve clinic SOPs, workflow design, and patient journey experiences.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent degree recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council (MDC).
- Fully registered with MDC and holds a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general or family dental practice (new graduates with strong interest in community and family dentistry are encouraged to apply).
- Postgraduate certification or experience in Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry, and Denture Prosthodontics is an added advantage.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and patient communication skills.
- Passionate about preventive, patient-centered dentistry and community oral health advocacy.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other local languages/dialects are a plus).
- Comfortable using digital dental tools, EMR systems, and teledentistry platforms.
