About the role

We are seeking a talented Designer to join our dynamic team at SLM PACKAGING SDN. BHD.' in Alor Setar, Kedah. As a Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity and branding of our innovative packaging solutions. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to conceptualize and design visually appealing and on-brand packaging solutions
  • Create a wide range of design assets, including logos, product labels, promotional materials, and digital content
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques to ensure our brand maintains a contemporary and compelling visual identity
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure design files are optimized for efficient printing and manufacturing
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to showcase your design work and receive feedback
  • Continuously refine and iterate on designs based on feedback and evolving business requirements

What we're looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience in a graphic design or packaging design role, preferably within the design and architecture industry
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in graphic design, with a keen eye for typography, colour, and composition
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • A creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
