Brewing Intern Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Support water and thermal reduction project

  • Production process water & thermal use mapping

  • Process change data collection & validation

  • Support CIP optimization

  • Water & thermal reduction

  • Result verification after changes

  • Support technological activity

  • New malt evaluation (monobrew)

  • Monthly sample coordination
  • Qualass specification change

  • CODEX specification update

  • Support trial project

  • New monitoring device trial

  • New production innovations

  • New material trial

  • Support brewing and other department initiatives

  • Production operation monitoring

  • Water & thermal use monitoring and dashboard creation – PowerBI
  • Any other matter

Critical Experiences and Competencies

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)

  • Project management – You will be managing multiple projects throughout your internship period and will need to prioritize according to deadlines

  • Communication & presentation – You will be coordinating with brewing executives & technicians to achieve project goals

Technical skills required:

  • Process technological skills - Basic concepts such as pressure, flow rate, temperature, conductivity, concentration, holding time

  • Biochemistry - Basic understanding towards fermentation profile, yeast propagation, microbiological risks

  • Basic lab skills - operating basic lab instruments

  • Microsoft office suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI would be a plus

Other responsibilities:

  • Monthly reporting - process parameters, results etc.

  • Sample collection, trial preparation, communication & alignment within & outside of team

  • Process monitoring & improvement ideas
