Position Description:

The Buyer is responsible for obtaining quotations from suppliers, raising purchase orders, expediting orders and maintaining supplier relationships, Issuing and analyzing RFQ to supply base.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, work instructions and KPI's.
  • Place all Purchase Orders for assigned/supplier spend.
  • Obtain order confirmations within agreed timelines.
  • Manage delivery of all orders and expedite accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Support Senior Buyer/s on delivery of Score Group Procurement strategies.
  • Assist Stores team with any delivery queries.
  • Where applicable mentor Buyer's with less experience within the Team.
  • Assisting Accounts team with resolving invoice queries in a timely manner.
  • Issue and manage requests for quotations to supply base
  • Awareness of Fraud/Irregularities.
  • Shift working hours will be introduced to provide coverage for other regions; however, this will not involve midnight or early-morning schedules.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Qualifications:


• Relevant experience within Supply Chain environment,


• Sound working knowledge of MS office package – word, excel and PowerPoint.


• Relevant experience with ERP systems

• Ability to work well as a team member and to take own initiative,


• Commitment to continual improvement and flexible approach to change,


• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering HS&E excellence.

Experience:


• Experience within a similar role preferred however not essential as training will be provided.
