Job Purpose

To design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that meet the company's business and technical objectives. The role requires strong technical expertise in Java development and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy Java applications following best coding and security practices.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from requirement gathering and system design to coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to ensure solutions align with functional and technical specifications.
  • Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including performance tuning and bug fixes.
  • Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications by identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java development.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Java SE / EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is an advantage.
  • Experience with build tools (Maven or Gradle) and version control (Git).
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
