  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the company's HSE policies and systems on-site.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and walkthroughs to identify potential hazards.
  • Coordinate and conduct Toolbox Talks, Safety Induction, and Safety Briefings for workers and visitors.
  • Support the issuance and verification of Permit to Work (PTW) and ensure control of high-risk activities.
  • Record and report any unsafe acts or conditions; follow up on corrective actions.
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations, root cause analysis, and prepare reports.
  • Monitor proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce compliance.
  • Maintain and update safety records, including daily reports, HIRARC, MSDS, and equipment checklists.
  • Assist in emergency response drills, fire safety checks, and evacuation planning.
  • Coordinate with contractors, site supervisors, and workers to resolve safety concerns on-site.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in construction or oil & gas projects.
  • Certified with SHO, NIOSH, or equivalent (e.g. AK3 Umum / NEBOSH is an advantage).
  • Knowledge of HIRARC, JSA, PTW, PPE, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, etc.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Able to work at remote project sites, in shift rotation or extended hours if required.

Skills:

  • Good understanding of OSHA, FMA, DOSH, and industry-specific safety regulations.
  • Basic first aid knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Team player with attention to detail and high safety awareness.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 18 months

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
