About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated 
Senior Refrigeration Design Mechanical Engineer
 to join our expanding technical team. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in refrigeration system design and enjoys working on commercial coldroom projects, system layouts and technical documentation.

You will be responsible for producing engineering drawings, system schematics and design calculations while supporting project delivery from concept to handover. UK project experience is beneficial but 
not essential
 — the right engineering capability and work ethic is what matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop 
    refrigeration designs
    , isometric drawings and CAD layouts
  • Produce 
    project design packs
    , documentation and BOQs
  • Complete 
    heat load calculations, pipe sizing and equipment selection
  • Experience working with 
    HFC, CO₂, and glycol systems (commercial & coldrooms)
  • Use of 
    Micropipe or similar design software
     for calculations
  • Coordinate with project teams to deliver design documents on schedule
  • Support engineering proposals and tender submissions
  • Prepare 
    technical presentations and reports in PowerPoint
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safe engineering practices

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related equivalent field
  • Mechanical / Refrigeration engineering background
  • Experience in commercial coldrooms & supermarket/industrial systems
  • Competent in 
    AutoCAD, isometric drafting & design software
  • Strong design understanding across 
    HFC, CO₂, glycol refrigeration
  • Heat load calculation & system design capability is essential
  • Excellent 
    English communication (written & verbal)
  • Strong computer skills, technical report writing, and documentation capability
  • UK experience is an advantage but not mandatory
