Get to Know the Role
We are seeking an Equipment Engineer to own the performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical manufacturing tools. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency on the production floor. The Equipment Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, maintenance, and production, to drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures and chronic issues
- Own and optimize equipment performance to meet yield and machine uptime
- Collaborate with process, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure tool reliability and compliance with operational standards
- Monitor and analyse equipment data using PLC logs, or other diagnostic systems to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain tool history, calibration records, and related documentation
- Participate in cleanroom safety and EHS-related initiatives
- Equipment upgrades, and new machine installations to support process improvements and capacity growth.
Skills and Competencies Profile
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering field
- 1-2 years of experience as a Maintenance/Equipment engineer, preferably in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing settings.
- Understanding of automation and control systems, including sensors, actuators, and HMIs
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of complex equipment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively across teams
- Proactively seeks ways to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency
- Manages time, resources, and tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
