RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations related to the general ledger.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet schedules, ensure alignment with general ledger balances.
  • Review e-invoicing reconciliations to ensure accurate matching of system data with external submissions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance and tax teams to ensure e-invoice data is aligned with monthly filings and corporate tax reporting.
  • Evaluate Capex request / fixed asset requisitions and coordinate with requesters to ensure ROI and payback analysis are realistic, well-supported, and include proper justifications, capacity analysis, and documented evidence prior to Corporate Finance submission for approval.
  • Conduct post-investment evaluations, including ROI analysis and post-acquisition reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review corporate income tax computations (current and deferred tax).
  • Prepare and submit CP204 (tax estimate) revisions based on updated forecasts and financial performance.
  • Liaise with tax agent / consultants and regulatory authorities on all tax related matters.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns in accordance with applicable tax laws and guidelines.
  • Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules and documentation for both internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with auditors and provide required documents, explanations, and reconciliations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to audit queries to ensure transparency and compliance.

QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance / ACCA or other professional qualifications.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENT IF ANY

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with GL functions, financial reporting, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP system (Oracle Fusion) would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and possess a high level of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6, RM8,000.00 per month
