Dance Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Creative Director in planning and executing dance programs, workshops, and performances.
• Teach ballet classes and support or lead sessions in contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance styles.
• Develop lesson plans, choreography, and training progressions that align with the studio's artistic vision.
• Provide individualized feedback and guidance to help students improve technique and performance.
• Assist in organizing recitals, competitions, and other studio performances.
• Collaborate with instructors and staff to maintain a positive, supportive, and professional environment.
• Stay current with dance trends and teaching methods to ensure innovative and high-quality instruction.
• Support studio marketing initiatives by contributing to event promotion and program communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dance instructor, particularly in ballet, with additional proficiency in other dance styles preferred.
• Strong choreographic skills and experience creating routines for classes or performances.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with the Creative Director and teaching team.
• Passionate about dance and committed to nurturing students' love for the art.
• Knowledge of current dance trends and teaching techniques.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional dance training or credentials.
• Experience in program development or dance curriculum planning.
• Familiarity with performance or competition preparation.
