What you'll be doing?

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including FIDIC contracts, subcontracts, and procurement agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide legal guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with construction laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Handle contract disputes, claims, and arbitration in accordance with FIDIC and other governing laws.
  • Assist in litigation matters and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks in construction projects.
  • Conduct due diligence on contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Keep updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting the construction industry.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and senior management to provide legal insights.
  • Liaise with government authorities, clients, and subcontractors to resolve legal issues.

To fit the role, what you need to have?

  • Minimum 3 years of legal experience in the construction industry.
  • Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. Candidates with FIDIC contracts is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of construction law, and contract administration.
  • Experience in handling claims, disputes, and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance in construction.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.

Working Hour

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm
