About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Senior R&D Technician to join the team at Manufacturing of aluminium window and doors'. As a Senior R&D Technician, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and product development within a dynamic and growing manufacturing organisation. This full-time position is based in Johor Bahru District, Johor.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting research and development activities to identify new product opportunities and improve existing products
- Analysing product samples, prototypes and test data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to implement design changes and enhancements
- Documenting and reporting on research findings, test results and recommendations
- Providing technical support and training to production and quality assurance staff
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Technician or R&D Technician in the manufacturing or engineering industry
- Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with a range of testing equipment and analytical tools
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering, technical or scientific discipline
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements
