Welder

Job purpose

The skilled-welders job entails the welding of sheet metal, hallow profiles or other weldable components. In accordance with the manufacturing process, following process sheets or standard operating procedures to meet the required quality and production schedule, fitting, joining,fabricating and/or repairing products per specification.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

• Perfoming welding duties using wire welding MIG/GMAW (Gas metal Arc Welding),FCAW (Flux core Arc Welding, TIG/GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
• Welding steel parts with welding equipment as specified by process sheet, fabrication technical drawing and work instructions
• Welding finishing skills equivalent to American Welding Society (AWS) standards.
• Operating and adjusting welding machine such as power, gas pressure & speed of feeding rod according type and thickness of material
• Performing preventive maintenance nd troubleshoot malfunctions
• Housekeeping in accordance of 5'S
• Participating in process and product development and improvement plan

Work experience and education requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Welding with minimum 3 years experience in fabrication welding
• Ability to interpret welding symbols, fabrication technical drawing and process sheet
• Ability to read and comprehend measuring tape & caliper
• Welding range from simple to complicated structure
• Ability to rework, modify or fabricate parts.

Other requirements

• Ability to use basic mathematics
• Ability to meet tight production deadline
• Flexibility to work additional hours beyond work schedule when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month
