Payment Manager

We're looking for a proactive, driven professional to take charge of our payments and help us level up our offerings.
Your Role:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payment specialists to achieve operational and strategic goals.
- Build team capability, set clear objectives, and ensure continuous skill enhancement.
- Foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and efficiency.
- Own and drive the company's payment operations, ensuring efficiency, security, and compliance.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new payment providers aligned with business strategy and market trends.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize payment workflows, improve user experience, and increase conversion rates.
- Ensure smooth integration of payment solutions with internal systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Negotiate high-level contracts and pricing to secure favorable commercial terms.
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with PSPs and key industry partners.
- Develop a partnership pipeline and ensure clear progress tracking and visibility.
- Represent the company at industry events, building networks and identifying partnership opportunities.
- Ensure all payment processes comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Oversee the implementation of risk mitigation strategies to prevent fraud, chargebacks, and data breaches.
- Manage escalations and high-impact incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal business disruption.
- Monitor and analyze payment-related data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Own payment performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide clear reporting and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead initiatives to automate and scale payment workflows for higher efficiency.
- Work closely with product, technical, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive operational excellence and innovation across payment functions.
- Stay updated on the evolving payment ecosystem and emerging technologies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
What We Need:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in payment operations, fintech, or a related industry.
- Candidate must be possess at least Diploma/Degree in Finance, Business, Economic or equivalent.
- Fluent in written and verbal communication skills for BM, English and Mandarin.
- Proven experience in onboarding and managing payment service providers (PSPs).
- Strong leadership experience managing teams.
- Deep understanding of payment workflows, compliance, and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in performance monitoring and optimization.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Business development experience within the payments or fintech ecosystem is a plus.
