We're Hiring: Senior Data Engineer (AWS | Cloud | Data Pipelines)

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Transformation & Digital team. As part of Analytics & Business Insights, you will design and build modern, scalable, cloud-native data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and AI use cases across the organization.If you love solving complex data problems and building high-performance pipelines on AWS, this role is for you

Key Responsibilities:

Design & implement scalable AWS data architecture (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions)

Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines

Ensure strong data governance, security & quality

Collaborate with analysts, business teams & IT to build user-friendly data models

Optimize data models (star schema) and pipeline performance

Automate processes and drive continuous improvement

Deliver reliable datasets that enable self-service analytics

Requirements:

4–5 years experience in Data Engineering (min. 2 years in cloud; AWS preferred)

Strong in SQL & Python

Hands-on experience with modern data pipelines & data modeling

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts

Experience working with diverse data sources (structured/unstructured)

Strong problem-solving & communication skills

Preferred:

Experience building enterprise data warehousesExposure to Power BI, Snowflake (AWS), or DatabricksFamiliarity with CI/CD and DevOps practicesKnowledge of AWS data security & governance

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5, RM9,000.00 per month
