UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank's growth ambition. The IH2 GIS Lead will serve as a strategic partner and operational leader, working closely with Group Information Security (GIS) senior management to drive the execution of the team's vision, strategy, and daily operations. This role will report to the Head of Security Engineering.

The selected candidate will ensure that the IH2 team operates as a natural extension of GIS to efficiently deliver on its objectives, maintain strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

*Job Description:*

• Oversee the IH2 GIS team of security experts (~30) and provide leadership and mentorship as an internal subject matter expert
• Lead the IH2 GIS security engineers (~18) for delivery of daily responsibilities required to effectively operate and maintain the lifecycle of security technologies
• Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, metrics and service governance reporting to highlight and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support strategic projects and service improvements being delivered in conjunction with the security engineering service and product roadmap and the Bank's information and cyber security strategy
• Champion process awareness, automation opportunities, and effective time management across the team.
• Manage cross-functional communications and coordination between GIS, technology teams, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective decision-making, project prioritization, and escalation management.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with a focus on professional development and operational discipline.
• Support audit and regulatory requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Maintain contemporary knowledge of trends and technologies and best practices, assessing their applicability to the Bank's environment.
• Define and maintain design documentation, processes, procedures and metrics to demonstrate effective and efficient management of services and capabilities

Others:

• Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including technical and management staff
• Capable of managing a number priorities and deliverables in an operational, interrupt driven environment with minimal guidance or supervision.
• Work within established practices and represent Security Engineering on major incidents in order to provide support or resolve related incidents and issues

*Job Requirements:*
Education

• Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT/Cyber Security from a recognized education institution
• Professional security related qualification (e.g. CISSP, SANS GCIA, GCIH etc.) will be favorable although not mandatory

Technical Skills

• Overall 10 to 15 years of relevant security engineering experience.
• Strong track record of managing technical resources across the technology lifecycle (design, build, deploy and maintain)
• Strong understanding of security tools across cyber defence, infrastructure, data security and identity management
• Possesses a strong security threat mindset with a passion for automation
• Proven track record of decision-making and leadership within matrixed organisations.
• Ability to effectively translate and present solutions in business or management terms.
• Good understanding of various end user, platform and network technologies including familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and/or GCP

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable navigating a matrixed organization
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
