IT Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support for IT systems, hardware, software, CCTV, and Door Access systems.

2. Monitor system performance and ensure uptime, including proactive maintenance and support.

3. Support installation, configuration, and upgrade of hardware and software systems.

4. Collaborate with China IT team to implement cybersecurity and infrastructure updates.

5. Ensure user support for ERP system and other operational software.

6. Train and support end-users on applications and IT procedures.

7. Maintain accurate IT documentation, including configurations and SOPs.

8. Ensure system security through proper backup, recovery, and access control.

9. Promote IT process compliance aligned with QMS/EMS policies.

10. Maintain confidentiality of company IT assets, data, and communications.

Tasks:

1. Respond to user requests, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely solutions.

2. Perform installation and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, switches, APs, firewalls, etc.

3. Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access control via Active Directory.

4. Support Wi-Fi network, CCTV, and door access infrastructure.

5. Manage backup and disaster recovery plans (e.g. Synology, Proxmox, pfSense).

6. Monitor and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g. Proxmox, Linux KVM).

7. Implement and maintain open-source infrastructure tools (e.g., Xigma NAS, GLPI, Dnsmasq).

8. Perform regular system health checks and update logs.

9. Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.

10. Maintain IT asset inventory and software license control.

11. Participate in cross-site system rollout, upgrade, and implementation projects.

12. Conduct IT onboarding/offboarding tasks (equipment issuance, access setup).

13. Participate in ERP related troubleshooting and data support.

14. Share knowledge with team members to improve IT effectiveness.

15. Perform other duties as assigned by superior or management.

Minimum Requirements

1. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Minimum 5 years experience in system support or technical support role.

3. Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux (Red Hat/Rocky, Ubuntu), macOS.

4. Familiar with Proxmox, pfSense/OPNsense, XigmaNAS, GLPI, Dnsmasq, and other open-source systems.

5. Experience with network hardware (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi APs), CCTV, and door access systems.

6. Good understanding of system backup, security, and virtualization concepts.

7. Ability to document and maintain structured IT records.

8. Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).

9. Proactive, independent, responsible, and able to work well in a cross-functional team.
