QAQC Engineer

You shall be responsible to:

• Prepare and submit Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan for Civil Works and Steel Structure Works and responsible to liaise with the client prior to their review and approval.
• Perform all daily inspections and tests of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site.
• Carry out inspection and checking for all quality-related procedures in the site and ensure activity at the site is as per the approved method statement and inspection test plan.
• Coordinate with the consultant's representative and site In-charge for inspection and meetings about quality problems including the closure of Non-compliance reports.
• Report to the project manager or top management, control, and monitor all activities related to QAQC works.
• Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR; site instruction, request for Information/Inspection (RFI), site diary etc.
• Prepare monthly progress reports for submission to the client.
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates. Calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observation, materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
• Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to civil, architectural, and structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
• Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environment analysis and inspection test plan and checklist based on the specifications of the project.
• Carry out an internal audit at the site as scheduled in the project quality plan, PQP.
• Liaise with the technical engineer for submission of material approval submission to a consultant.
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in civil, structural, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), method statements, and quality documentation.
• Experience in site inspections, testing, and ensuring work complies with drawings, specifications, and approved procedures.
• Skilled in managing non-conformance reports (NCRs), site instructions, RFIs, and QA/QC documents.
• Proficient in preparing risk assessments, job safety analyses, and checklists.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, committed to quality workmanship, and able to report progress to management.
• Flexible to perform additional duties as required by management.
