Chrome / Plating Technician

Roles and Responsibilities

• Clean, polish, or perform pre-treatment on components after the plating process.
• Operate plating equipment using Chemical and Mold
• Monitor and test chemical solutions
• Inspect Mold parts for Coating thickness, Surface finish and Defects
• Handle chemicals safely and ensure proper waste treatment is carried out.
• Comply with safety regulations, MSDS, ISO standards, and environmental guidelines related to plating

Competencies Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

• Minimum SPM / Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (high school) or equivalent or
• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields is a plus for higher-level positions.
• TVET / technical training in manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with chrome plating or hard chrome processes.
• Understanding of chemistry (pH, concentration, temperature) is a plus.
• Basic quality inspection skills (measuring plating thickness, spotting defects).
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
