FA Engineer

• Perform all machining operations based on set up sheet, job router, inspection plan and QMS documents in order to deliver quality products
• Ensure that the regular maintenance is conducted in a planned and timely manner, provide all required work and maintenance reporting to superior in a timely and accurate manner
• Perform adjustment on insert of cutter by offsetting or changing new cutter
• Perform first piece inspection after tool change for affected dimension
• Read and understand applicable document in order to measure the work piece as per expected measuring technique
• Able to operate multiple machines if the cycle time for each machine is long
• Responsible for keeping the machines and surrounding areas clean and tidy (5S) and working correctly on the shift basis.
• Bar end/off cut/defect materials must be disposed as per QMS requirements and it is not allowed to keep in the bin off good products
• all tools, cutter, measurement equipment and material keep in the organized and proper area to prevent missing, damage and dropping or heavy scratches on the parts
• If there is an emergency leave needed, must contact superior prior to the date or time
• Follow work instruction from superior and able to complete the task on time. (As per cycle time of target assigned)
• Sets up mills/lathes/wirecut by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers, indicating vices, tramming heads
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing and knurling and thread chasing operations, taking measurement, detecting malfunction, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Protect and re-use used cutter in order to encourage cost saving and minimize wastage in the production
• Provide guidance and basic training to machine operator on machining knowledge and skill
• To study and improve the machine set up time from time to time in order to reduce the total machine hour. SMED is encouraged to apply for long term set up reduction and improvement
• To work closely with engineer on tool life studies on insert or cutter that having short tool life or it may affect the product cost heavily
• Work closely with process design engineer in order to ensure all New product is complete as per schedule
• Complete very new product set up with complete first article report per customer requirements
