Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Storekeeper to join our growing team at Dynamic Mesh and Wire Industries Sdn Bhd. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials while maintaining efficient and compliant inventory management systems.

Job Responsibilities.

  1. Inventory Management

  2. Receive and inspect incoming materials/shipment, verifying them against purchase orders and invoices.

  3. Organize and store materials in designated areas.
  4. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and system updates.

  5. Issue materials according to approved requisitions and ensure proper documentation.

  6. Store Organization

  7. Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained for smooth operations.

  8. Rotate and arrange stock to optimize space utilization and accessibility.

  9. Documentation & Reporting

  10. Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, supplies, and equipment.

  11. Raise purchase order for restocking.
  12. Generate and update stock balance and material usage reports periodically.

  13. Provide required documentation for internal audits and external inspections.

  14. Safety & Compliance

  15. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

  16. Comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements for storage and handling of materials.

  17. Coordination & Communication

  18. Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, logistics departments and maintenance to ensure timely availability of materials.

  19. Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding stock levels and inventory issues.

Requirement/ Qualification

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar storekeeper or inventory management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software, Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Minimum SPM / Diploma or equivalent qualification with a certification in inventory management or logistics an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
  • Able to drive forklift will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to work overtime as and when required.

Able to start work immediately an added advantage.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
