Phlebotomist (Locum)

Job Description:

• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and other specimen collection procedures for patients of all age groups.
• Verify patient identity and ensure specimens are properly labeled and documented.
• Handle, store, and transport collected specimens in compliance with laboratory SOPs and safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the phlebotomy area, ensuring adequate stock of consumables and equipment.
• Ensure proper infection control and biosafety measures during all procedures.
• Provide patient care and reassurance during blood collection to ensure a comfortable experience.
• Uphold patient confidentiality, professional ethics, and hospital quality standards.
• Assist in ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager / Head of Division.

Job Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Biomedical Science / equivalent from a recognized university.
• Experience in Phlebotomy.
• Able to work during weekends and public holidays.
• Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and strong work ethics.
