About the role
SSGE Bio Energy (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Langkap Perak. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal structures and equipment used in our biomass power generation facility. This full-time role is a critical part of maintaining our operations and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our production processes.
What you'll be doing
- Perform welding on a variety of metal components and structures to industry standards
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials
- Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders to join metal parts
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety specifications
- Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to identify and resolve fabrication and repair issues
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, and follow all safety protocols
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Knowledge of metal fabrication, cutting, and finishing processes
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role
