HSSE Advisor

Job Description
The HSSE Advisor leads the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Management System. The role provides governance and policy direction across the APAC region, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and compliance with local regulatory requirements. This includes guiding and supporting all departments on HSSE matters, overseeing enforcement of HSSE policies and procedures, and strengthening the organisation's safety culture through proactive risk management and operational discipline.

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices
• Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within the Upstream sector
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent qualification) is desirable
• Solid understanding of local HSSE regulatory requirements and compliance obligations
• Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office and ERP platforms
• Highly systematic, detail-oriented, and accurate in documentation and reporting

Job Responsibilities

• Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within the Upstream sector
• Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices
• Solid understanding of local and regional HSSE regulatory requirements across the APAC region
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent qualification) is desirable
• Experience supporting or leading HSSE and Quality audits, risk management processes, and compliance programs
• Exposure to ESG initiatives or sustainability programs is an advantage
• Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office and ERP platforms
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
• Systematic, detail-oriented, and able to work independently across multiple countries and stakeholders
