Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on and committed Maintenance Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting, leading maintenance operations, and ensuring machinery reliability in a heavy industry environment. Fresh graduates with strong technical skills are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Mechanical Engineer with machinery and utility systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment
  • Maintain proper documentation (PM, CMMS, job orders, etc.)
  • Lead and supervise team during breakdowns, night shifts & overtime tasks
  • Handle vendor coordination for repairs, spare parts, and proposals
  • Update reports such as F6O, FTA, FRR, SOP, and safety documents (KYM, work permit, etc.)
  • Support new SOP creation, 5S implementation, and downtime reduction
  • Prepare technical reports and root cause analysis (5Y)
  • Participate in continuous improvement and equipment upgrades

Requirements

Qualification:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Preferably male candidates (site & shift requirements)

Experience:

  • Fresh graduates or 1–2 years hands-on experience in machinery and facility maintenance
  • Experience in medium/heavy industry preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Mechanical troubleshooting & maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with tools, systems & documentation
  • Good understanding of maintenance standards, safety, and reliability
  • Data analysis for equipment failure and performance tracking

Soft Skills:

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented & able to lead small teams
  • Willing to work night shift, overtime, and public holidays
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
