Sales Representative - Perak Region

Company Overview:

Palaquin (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a growing manufacturer of premium pet food products, committed to delivering high-quality nutrition to pets through innovation and industry excellence. We are currently seeking a dedicated and driven Sales Representative to join our expanding team in Perak.


Job Purpose:

To support the growth of our pet food business in the Perak region by securing new customers, nurturing long-term partnerships, and ensuring consistent customer satisfaction in alignment with the company's goals and production capacity.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Market Expansion

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by management.
  • Identify and approach new business prospects, including pet shops, veterinary clinics, distributors, breeders, and retail outlets.
  • Promote the full range of Palaquin pet food products, emphasizing quality, nutrition, and value.

2. Territory & Account Management

  • Develop and implement sales strategies specifically tailored to the Perak market.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Plan efficient travel routes to maximize client engagement and minimize travel costs.

3. Client Relations & Support

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and retail partners.
  • Provide product education, samples, and technical support as needed to clients.
  • Respond quickly to inquiries, concerns, or complaints with solutions that align with company policies.

4. Sales Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare and submit detailed weekly reports on sales activity, customer visits, and market feedback.
  • Ensure all sales documentation including quotations, order forms, and delivery confirmations are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Maintain an updated database of customers, leads, and sales pipeline.

5. Interdepartmental Coordination

  • Work closely with production, logistics, and accounts teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely deliveries.
  • Provide market feedback to assist R&D and marketing in product development and campaign planning.
  • Participate in trade shows, product launches, and regional promotions as required.

6. Compliance & Company Representation

  • Adhere strictly to company guidelines, pricing policies, and credit terms.
  • Represent Palaquin professionally in all business interactions across the Perak region.
  • Uphold the company's reputation by demonstrating integrity, reliability, and a strong understanding of our products.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the pet food, animal nutrition, FMCG, or manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge of the Perak territory with willingness to travel regularly within the region.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and target-driven with the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
