About the role

The Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the hotel's technology infrastructure and digital operations. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of the hotel's IT systems and implementing innovative technological solutions to enhance the guest experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing and maintaining the hotel's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications
  • Implementing and optimising technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Providing technical support and training to hotel staff on the use of IT systems
  • Developing and executing strategic IT plans to align with the hotel's overall business objectives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address technology-related challenges
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of the hotel's IT systems and data

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT management role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Strong technical expertise in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including server, network, and software administration
  • Proficiency in implementing and integrating various hotel management and guest-facing technology solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support end-users
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies and recommend innovative solutions
