Tally clerk Job Description Template

Tally Clerks meticulously record, verify, and maintain data related to cargo transported by various carriers. They ensure accuracy in inventory management, tracking shipments, and documenting cargo discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Verify and inspect all goods received to ensure they match the delivery order
  • Check, inspect and verify quantity and items required according to delivery order and 'Outward Tally Sheet'
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inventory reports on a regular basis
  • Involved in stock count exercise as and when required
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Assist in the coordination of shipping and receiving schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
  • Collaborate with other members of the logistics team to optimize processes and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and customers
  • Any other duty as assigned by immediate superior.

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Familiarity with Tally software
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a similar role would be an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1, RM2,500.00 per month
