Job Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Sourcing (Marine & Dockyard Focus)
- Source and procure marine equipment, spare parts, ship repair materials, and dockyard supplies in line with operational requirements.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on technical specifications, quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with marine industry regulations and company policies.
2. Vendor & Contract Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with marine suppliers, ship chandlers, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms for marine-related purchases and dockyard services.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations to ensure reliability and compliance.
3. Inventory & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse and dockyard teams to manage inventory levels of marine tools, consumables, and critical spares.
- Track delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of goods to avoid delays in vessel operations or dockyard projects.
4. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Assist in preparing procurement budgets for marine operations and dockyard maintenance.
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with ISO standards and maritime regulations.
- Maintain records of purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and supplier contracts.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and marine operations.
6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Work closely with marine operation coordinators and dockyard supervisors, to understand technical requirements.
- Support vessel maintenance schedules by ensuring timely procurement of required parts and services.
- Collaborate with finance and administration for payment processing and budget tracking.
7. Continuous Improvement & Market Intelligence
- Stay updated on marine industry trends, new technologies, and supplier innovations.
- Recommend improvements to procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Participate in training and development programs related to marine procurement and supply chain management.
Requirements:
- A degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a related role.
- Familiarity with purchasing and planning operations.
- Independent, analytical, proactive, and able to work under tight schedules.
- Fresh Graduate is encouraged to apply.
