To delivery set targets for new product development, product improvement, value creation, and sales, marketing and plant support with set guidelines from Senior Chemist or RD&l Lead.

• Execute laboratory activities covering a range of technical projects
• Provide technical support to internal functions such as marketing, sales, operations and procurement.
• Maintain laboratory functionality at required standard
• Maintain Quality system in the Company
• Implement HSES plan as set by RD&I Lead
• Any other related assignment
• Execute paint work activities and to deliver within specified set timeline, with recommendation, proposal for adjustment, relevant test and data collection
• Complaint analysis and investigation
• Ensure colour related work is accurate and properly executed
• Provide guidance to lab technician on daily work
• Carry out house keeping plan on area and equipment assigned
• Execute assigned experimentation with guidance from supervisor and carry out relevant tests to evaluate formulation properties
• Data entry of experimental output in a condensed, tabulated or graphical format to concisely and effectively communicate results and trends
• Prepare and attend production trial, painters testing and other related activities with appropriate records and reports
• Provide support to operations / sales / marketing through investigation of formulation shortfall and complaints and proposed process or procedure to address issues
• Arrange and attend site investigation visits to customer place
• Conduct benchmarking exercise against competitors' products to check competitiveness of product in market.
• Maintain laboratory smooth functioning through adequate supplies of materials used for daily activities
• Maintain equipment functionality through pre-defined calibration schedule.
• Operate all lab equipment safely as per SOP and keep in clean condition
• Lab responsibilities on HSES, 5S, housekeeping, equipment and proper disposal
• Self-responsibilities as lab steward and assigned HSES i.e. BBS, near miss, HSES assigned roles

• BSc in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
• Degree with 1-3 years or Diploma with 5 years experience of laboratory work in related discipline
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organisation skill
• Good practical, analytical and laboratory skill
• Process good interpersonal skill
