About the role

LONGMOTIVE (M) SDN.BHD. is seeking a Construction Manager to join our team in Kempas Johor. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects from start to finish. As a key member of our construction department, you will play a vital role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing detailed project plans and schedules
  2. Coordinating and supervising construction activities, including liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
  3. Monitoring project progress and identifying and resolving any issues or delays
  4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards
  5. Managing project budgets and costs, and reporting on financial performance
  6. Providing regular progress updates to senior management and clients
  7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing them

What we're looking for

  1. 8+ years of experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry
  2. Proven track record of successfully managing the delivery of complex construction projects
  3. Excellent project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  4. Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes and health and safety regulations
  5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  7. Proficient in using construction management software and tools
  8. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field
