About the role
This position creates software (ETL tools, dashboards, reports etc) that helps our business access collected data so they can refer to this refined data to make informed strategic decisions. You are not only creating and managing requests for transforming the data into useful output but also presents that deliverable to stakeholders within the company.
You should possess skills at troubleshooting and analyzing the individual needs of software users and stakeholders. Communication and analytical skills are vital for you interact with user to understand their requirements, comprehend the way of people think, and figure out the best software that satisfied their requirement and easy to use.
What you will do
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Nexperia applications, data models, machines, manufacturing process parameters etc.
- Work closely with process engineers and data scientists to design architecting solutions that will enable them to do their Jobs.
- Assemble data from different structured and unstructured data sources coming from Machines, Sensors, MES, SAP & other factory applications etc.
- Identify, design and implement optimized data pipelines which are sustainable and robust infrastructure for future scalability.
- Handle unstructured and streaming data coming from PLC of machine, IOT sensors etc. and transform them into a structured data for data use cases.
- Understand the data, maintain documentation and assist with data related queries
- Develop dashboards in Tibco Spotfire tool or other BI tools.
- Work on performance improvement of queries, help engineers with understanding of data and solutions, help in solution proliferation with user community
What you will need
- 3+ years working experience in big data development field, B.S in Computer Science or related field
- Manufacturing factory experience – preferably in Semiconductor companies focused on factory analytics and automation solutions.
- Demonstrated ability in handling big data, delivery of streaming, real time systems in the role of data engineer, data warehouse expert or data visualization expert.
- Data Wrangling capabilities, handling and processing data to make necessary data transformations to meet project requirements.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, capable of writing optimized queries for faster data workflows
- Experience of working with big data tools: Hadoop, spark, Kafka etc.
- Know programming languages: SQL, Java, Scala, Python etc.
- Good programming skills in Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Familiar with data visualization tools (TIBCO Spotfire, MS Power BI etc.) or any of the other leading BI tools is preferred.
- Strong both written and oral English is a MUST.
About the team
This position will be reported to Big Data Team. Big Data Team is a team operating under IT D&I department. This team is accountable for IT operations in Big Data platform across all sites in Nexperia. Besides that, this team collaborates with business and other D&I teams for the delivery of BI reports, Analytic tools, AI tools and Data Models etc.
